Task 1: group discussion

Think of as many gestures as you know. Be ready to act them out and explain to the others.

* hands
* eyes
* posture
* voice / intonation

Task 2: Which gestures tell ...?

1) ... that you are eager to leave

3) .... that you have no idea what is going on
4) .... that you revealed a secret by accident
5) .... that you are really nervous while making a presentation
6) .... that the food is/was delicious
7) .... that you are ready to pay in the restaurant
8) .... that you can't hear
9) .... that you want to get a taxi
10) .... that fancy him/her


Task 3: Act out without using words (you can make sounds)

A:  Hey you!

B:  Me?

A:  Yeah.  Come here!

B:  Can I help you with something?

A:  Don’t you know me????

B:  Hmmm.  Oh!  We met last week, right? Your name is __________.

A:  That’s right!  How are you?

B:  Bad, sorry!  I just lost my wallet!

A:  Oh no!  Do you remember where you left it?

B:  That is the problem…I don’t know!!! And all my money is in it!

A:  Listen I am running late but I will help you look.

B:  Oh no no no!  I can’t ask you to do that.  Don’t worry about it!

A:  Well, then good luck finding it!

B:  Thanks and nice to see you again!

A:  Nice to see you too.  I’ll call you! Bye

B:  Bye!
